I was privileged to be part of the AFC Masters podcast on Monday 19th July and I very much enjoyed taking part. Thank you so much for inviting me.
AFC Masters is a football club for children and adults with a disability, based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. The club provides opportunities for any individual who has a disability to play football, make friends and have fun, not necessarily in that order! The inclusive football sessions are delivered by FA Charter Standard coaches. Like so many of us over the last year and a bit, what they normally do has been severely impacted by COVID-19. However, they have kept in touch and have continued to build strong friendships and provide support to people with disabilities and their families. And now football has come back!
This is an amazing group of people and I feel very proud to know them.
